I have recently returned to the Catholic Church and am looking for information on the Church today. Who should I contact?
Many adults who have been away from the Church for some time have questions about the Church today and how it is “different” from experiences they remember. If you find yourself in this position, call (281-370-3401) or email
Amy Auzenne at the Parish Office.
How do I know what worship service is best for my family? Are there differences between masses? While every Mass contains the same sacramental elements, each Mass at St. Ignatius has its own unique character. On Saturday, the 5:15 p.m. Mass is very family oriented, with Music provided by cantors. Sunday's 7:30 a.m. Mass is more quiet and subdued with less music. The 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses tend to be more families with children. The Children's Liturgy of the Word is offered at these Masses and the main Church choir sings at the 11:00 a.m. Mass.
The Sunday 5:15 p.m. Mass is a Life Teen Mass. Everything is geared to making this Mass a spiritually uplifting experience for High School students of the parish. Music is lead by the Life Teen band with mostly contemporary music. The homilist directs his homily to the young people and students participate in a variety of ways.

What do I wear to Mass? The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith as Catholics. For this reason it is important that everyone approach worship with a sense of the sacred. Clothing should therefore be respectful of the dignity of the person, place and other parishioners. People should refrain from wearing beachwear, sportswear, revealing clothing or anything else that may distract other people from the sacred nature of what is happening at Mass. How we dress lets others know how important what we are doing is to us. We should always dress to express that our encounter with God in the Eucharist is a special event worthy of our best.
How do I get involved?
The best way to get involved is to explore the commission pages to get details on all of the different ministries offered at St. Ignatius. Don't be shy, just call those already involved and let them know your willingness to serve.
