The St. Ignatius Vocation Committee would like to invite your family to pray together for an increase of vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life through our Vocations Chalice or Crucifix Program.

Every weekend, our parishioners will have the opportunity to accept the responsibility of praying for vocations at home with their family.  The presiding priest will call the family up to the sanctuary steps at the end of Mass to receive the Chalice or Crucifix, prayers, and family blessing. (There is an option for those that do not want to come forward. They are able to receive the Chalice or Crucifix from the front row pew.) The family takes the Chalice or Crucifix home and displays it in a prominent place of honor for all members to see during the week. 

At a special time each day, perhaps after dinner or before bed, the family will come together to pray for an increase of vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life, and at the same time, explain and prompt young children and teenagers to consider how God is calling them into a deeper relationship with Him. They can also at this time send a note of support to a Seminarian, Priest or Sister.

El Comité de Vocaciones de San Ignacio desea invitar a su familia a orar juntos por un aumento de las vocaciones al sacerdocio y a la vida consagrada a través de nuestro Programa de Cáliz o Crucifijo para vocaciones.

Cada fin de semana, durante la misa del sábado a las 5:15 p.m., misa dominical a las 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. (español), o 5:15 p.m., nuestros feligreses tendrán la oportunidad de aceptar la responsabilidad de orar por las vocaciones en el hogar con su familia. El sacerdote celebrante llamará a la familia a pasar al santuario al final de la misa para recibir el Cáliz o el Crucifijo, las oraciones y la bendición familiar. (Hay una opción para aquellos que no quieran pasar al frente. Pueden recibir el Cáliz o el Crucifijo en la primera fila.) La familia lleva a su casa el Cáliz o el Crucifijo y lo muestra en un lugar de honor prominente para que todos los miembros lo puedan ver durante la semana.

En un momento especial cada día, tal vez después de la cena o antes de acostarse, la familia se reúne para orar por un aumento de las vocaciones al sacerdocio, al diaconado y a la vida consagrada, y al mismo tiempo, explicar y animar a los niños pequeños y adolescentes a considerar cómo Dios los está llamando a una relación más profunda con Él. También pueden en ese momento enviar una nota de apoyo a un Seminarista, Sacerdote o Hermana.
