Catechist Information

The Ministry of Catechesis

We welcome catechists to pass on their faith to the children and youth of our parish. Our program is dependent on parents/volunteers who are willing to prepare and share their religious knowledge and experiences with the youth they are commissioned to teach.

Being a catechist/assistant catechist/small group leader is a growing experience and a responsibility. We believe that in order for you to be effective and truthful in your teachings you must be participating in your own on-going faith formation. We strive to assist you in learning more about the Catholic faith and in developing the confidence and skills needed to share faith with children, family and friends. We offer training opportunities, Bible Studies and reflection days throughout the year at our own parish as well as within the Archdiocese.
